Sites

Welcome to the special initiative to collect information about the sites of LGBTQ+ history in central Pennsylvania.

This research initiative, begun by a student intern, identifies geographic locations referenced in archival documents, historical photographs and oral histories in our collection where LGBTQ+ history took place.  A spreadsheet and Google map provides information about this collection of sites.

Self-Guided Tours

Self-guided tours of LGBTQ+ history sites are now available for the following cities/counties:

  • Harrisburg
  • Lancaster
  • York

DIY Directions

To make your own paper copies of these tours: print the PDF file 2-sided, stack all the pages together in the order printed with the map on top, fold them down middle vertically so the title page forms the front cover, and staple along the fold.
